Fazlul Hasan (1923\u20131991) was a Bangalore-based historian, lawyer, and civil servant whose pioneering work transformed the study of the city&#8217;s past. Though not formally trained as a historian, he devoted decades to researching Bangalore&#8217;s history, culminating in his landmark book, Bangalore Through the Centuries (1970).
