M Fazlul Hasan

M. Fazlul Hasan (1923–1991) was a Bangalore-based historian, lawyer, and civil servant whose pioneering work transformed the study of the city’s past. Though not formally trained as a historian, he devoted decades to researching Bangalore’s history, culminating in his landmark book, Bangalore Through the Centuries (1970). Widely regarded as one of the foundational works on the city’s history, the book continues to inspire historians, researchers, and heritage enthusiasts today
